The last escape

The last escape attempt from the historic SDG jail happened in 1995 by a man named Daryl Bolton. He was an accused murderer who was on trail for beating an elderly man. He had request leave in order to go visit a dying family member which was denied by the prison. On one of the coldest days of the year, he got on top of a structure in the courtyard, put his coat over the barbed wire that hung around the top of the walls and fell about 3.5ft. He then fled to the Cornwall Square’s parking garage where he was found by police hiding in a stairwell about half and hour after he went over the wall. [1]
